King provides a complete service to executors of estates. Busy executors
often do not have the time or detailed knowledge to deal with the
sale of the contents of a house which can take up a disproportionate
amount of their attention and distract them from other duties. Weller
King works to minimise the work of executors while keeping them
fully informed of dispersals.
We will visit the house as soon as we receive instructions
and if necessary remove to secure premises any particularly valuable
or vulnerable items. We will prepare an inventory and valuation
of the house contents for probate purposes and produce as many copies
as the executors require. We are happy to meet with beneficiaries
and to arrange the transportation of bequests and the consequent
insurance cover that is required.
An important part of our service is the sale and
administration of all or just part of the house contents. The great
advantage of using our services is our independence which enables
us to select the most appropriate auction rooms in which to sell
each item, thus ensuring that the best quality items are offered
for sale at specialist London auctions while the more general items
are offered through the leading regional auction rooms. We arrange
and supervise the removal of the residual items for sale and can
arrange and oversee the final clearance of the property.
Each estate is directly supervised by one of the
partners. Estate dispersal is coordinated by our experienced estates
administrator who oversees the various sales and can supply a progress
report at any time.
Our objective is to maximise the prices realised
for each item belonging to an estate while ensuring that individual
sales are kept to a minimum and are dealt with as speedily as possible.
